Utilizing SynPhaseTM Scavenger Lantern Technology for the Synthesis of Small Molecule Combinatorial Libraries via solution-phase methodologies

Dr. Ede's main interests have always resided in solving biological problems by either applying organic chemistry or developing products for use in drug discovery. After completing post-doctoral fellowships at the Howard Florey Medical Research Institute (synthesis of peptide-oligonucleotide conjugates for antisense applications), and the University of Melbourne (synthesis of peptide polymeric hydrogels for synthetic peptide vaccines), Dr Ede joined Chiron Corporation. Mimotopes was sold by Chiron to MitoKor in 2000 and has subsequently been acquired by Fisher Scientific in 2002. During the last 9 years, Dr Ede has developed a record of successfully evolving research concepts to commercial products or processes, and Heads the Discovery Products business unit of Mimotopes. This business unit has successfully developed, manufactured and marketed solid phase research products for the global drug discovery market over the past decade. Dr Ede has also managed several drug discovery projects and compound supply deals with overseas Pharmaceutical and Ag companies.
